A HEALTHY JOURNEY THROUGH PREGNANCY

Craniosacral therapy accompanies the pregnant woman through her journey to motherhood by helping to release restrictions in the body and promote an optimal birthing experience. During pregnancy, women may experience morning sickness, back and hip pain, and other stresses both physical and emotional. CranioSacral Therapy can help release restrictions and enable the mother-to-be to feel more comfortable in her growing body as she prepares for labor and birth. CST can also help promote optimal fetal positioning and enhance the fetus’ ability to move in the womb.

There is some evidence that a restricted airway may contribute to gestational hypertension and preeclampsia. Pregnant women who snore or have sleep apnea, suffer from TMJ dysfunction, or grind their teeth are encouraged to schedule a visit for craniosacral evaluation and treatment!

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY AND BALANCE

Children born today into our fast-paced, technologically-“wired” world are entering school more and more in a “wired” state – unable to focus, or pay attention, unable to come to stillness in their bodies or inner being. Their senses are in a constant state of overload.

CranioSacral Therapy helps relieve excess tension and restricted motion in bones and membranes, often restoring impaired nervous tissue function. What does this mean for the child who can’t hold still or focus, the child lacking age-appropriate balance and coordination? Since learning, language and behavior are all connected to the motor system and control of movement, CranioSacral Therapy can provide marked improvement in all three areas: learning, language and behavior.

I believe all children and adults can benefit from the healing power of this gentle, therapeutic touch!

"I brought my 7 year old daughter Julia to see Brenda at the advice of a friend, whose own child had been helped by Brenda's CranioSacral Therapy. My daughter was about to undergo her third surgery to have tubes inserted in her ears for constant ear infections. Brenda treated my daughter for about an hour, and we returned home. Two days later I took my daughter for the pre-surgery checkup, and the doctor was astounded. Not only were there no signs of infection, or need for ear tubes, her ears were not even red! I recommend that all parents take their children to see Brenda before resorting to surgery and ear tubes!"

THE HEALING POWER OF GENTLE TOUCH

One of the best things we can do for our children is to have them begin life with smoothly functioning craniosacral systems. By correcting physical restrictions which can develop during the birth process, the child’s body can release the effects of stress naturally—potentially reducing a wide range of difficulties which may not yet be apparent.
